Museveni Receives Humanitarian Contribution Award

President Yoweri Museveni has been honored with the Social and Economic Commitment Award by the European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East (ECAM). Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja presented the award to President Museveni at State House Entebbe on Monday, February 5, 2024.

Nabbanja received the award on behalf of President Museveni during the ECAM summit held in Rome, Italy, the previous week. The recognition from ECAM acknowledges President Museveni’s remarkable contributions to humanitarian causes, particularly in refugee support and healthcare sectors.




Expressing her pride in President Museveni’s recognition, Nabbanja emphasized the importance of European countries acknowledging Uganda’s progress under his leadership.




The ECAM summit, themed “Creating a Better Present and Building a Better Future Together for Africa,” provided a platform to discuss developmental initiatives in Africa, highlighting the continent’s potential for growth.
