Cindy Sanyu, a prominent Ugandan artist, is gearing up to take the spotlight as the headliner of the 20th edition of Roast and Rhyme. The event, sponsored by Bell Lager, is scheduled to take place at Jahazi Pier Munyonyo, promising attendees an unforgettable experience with a lineup of talented artists and Kampala’s top DJs.

Scheduled for March 3rd, Roast and Rhyme is one of Uganda’s highly anticipated annual events, known for its unique blend of live music, barbecue delicacies, and a picturesque lakeside picnic setting. This year’s edition, themed “Reggae Ragga Nyam Nyam,” marks a significant milestone for the event as it celebrates two decades of bringing music enthusiasts together.

With its reputation for delivering vibrant performances and creating memorable experiences, Roast and Rhyme aims to captivate attendees with a dynamic showcase of reggae and ragga music performed by some of Uganda’s finest talents.

Since its inception eight years ago, Roast and Rhyme, organized by Swangz Avenue, has served as a platform for over 100 talented artists and has attracted a diverse audience of more than 50,000 enthusiastic revelers. The event has played a pivotal role in supporting Uganda’s vibrant music scene and showcasing the country’s rich musical heritage.

Cindy Sanyu’s participation in this year’s edition marks her debut appearance at Roast and Rhyme. As one of Uganda’s most celebrated artists, known affectionately as the “King Herself,” Cindy promises to deliver an electrifying live performance that will leave a lasting impression on her fans.
