As the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the G-77 + China summit is set to commence on Monday, January 15, at the Speke Resort Convention Centre Munyonyo in Kampala, Uganda Police have issued a statement reassuring participants of stringent security measures.

In a social media post on X (formerly Twitter), the Uganda Police Force extended a warm welcome to the delegates attending the summit in the Pearl of Africa. The Police emphasized the absence of specific threats and highlighted their ongoing collaboration with organizers to implement a comprehensive safety plan.

“Delegates are encouraged to cooperate with security teams, follow guidelines at venues and checkpoints, and stay updated on security information through official channels,” stated the Police in their announcement on Sunday.

The NAM summit, hosting participants from 120 countries and additional observers, officially commences on Monday, followed immediately by the G77 summit.
