She concluded with a prayer for the peaceful repose of her soul, expressing wishes for eternal rest.

Following this somber announcement, attention turned to other matters of business within the House. Among Anita, the Speaker of Parliament, shared updates on recent developments regarding government appointments. She informed the House that she had requested a report from the Minister for the Presidency concerning the recent appointments of Resident District Commissioners (RDCs), Regional Coordinating Committee members (RCCs), and their deputies. This request stemmed from public concerns regarding the eligibility of certain appointees. The report is anticipated to be presented to the House during the next session, providing clarity on the appointment process and addressing public scrutiny.

With these administrative matters addressed, the focus shifted towards legislative business. The House was convened to consider the National Planning Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2024 for its Second Reading.
