Kampala, Uganda, March 15, 2024: Emmanuel Katto, renowned for his transformative ventures and philanthropic endeavors, has collaborated with Sanyu Babies’ Home under the name of his Emka Foundation, focusing on uplifting the vulnerable. This collaboration between his Emka Foundation and the Home marks a pivotal moment in the efforts to support and empower vulnerable children in Uganda.
Under the inspiring direction of Emmanuel Katto Uganda, the Emka Foundation has dedicated itself for a long time to improving the lives of underprivileged children and having a beneficial social influence. The Emka Foundation hopes to expand its reach and influence to a wider range of disadvantaged adolescents by partnering with the home.
This dedication is also shared by Sanyu Babies’ Home, a ray of hope for abandoned newborns. They set out on a mission with Emmanuel Katto to give opportunity, compassion, and care to people who are most in need. - Installation of Solar Power Generating and Electric System:One of the primary objectives of this collaboration is to install an institutional solar power generating and electric system at the home. This initiative aims to provide a sustainable energy solution for the home’s daily electrical appliance demands, ensuring a reliable source of power for the children’s needs.
- Long-Term Energy Efficiency:The partnership focuses on implementing an energy efficiency project that guarantees a long-term solution for the home’s energy requirements. By installing solar power generation and electric systems, the goal is to enhance the home’s energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and create a more sustainable environment for children.
- Financial Support and Community Engagement: The Emka Foundation and Sanyu Babies’ Home are working together to secure the necessary funding for the solar power project. With a total system cost of $98,563.81 and a grant of $49,282 already secured from the SNV Netherlands Development Organisation, the partnership aims to bridge the remaining financial gap by reaching out to the community for support. This collaborative effort shows the philanthropic vision of Emmanuel Katto, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and financial contribution to ensure the success of the project.
