Doha / Abu Dhabi / Dubai — Equity Bank Uganda has embarked on a major outreach campaign across the Middle East to bring its trusted diaspora banking solutions closer to Ugandans living and working abroad.
Branded under the theme “Middle East, Here We Come!”, the bank’s team is making stops in Qatar, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai throughout October 2025, providing personalized banking services, financial advice, and investment opportunities back home.
The outreach kicked off at Wyndham Doha West Bay, Qatar, where the team interacted with hundreds of Ugandans eager to learn more about account opening, remittances, and savings options. The team is now in Abu Dhabi at East Gate Restaurant, Al Wahda, from 9th to 12th October, before heading to Landmark Hotel, Dubai, from 14th to 20th October.
Equity Bank says the goal is to make banking simple and accessible for Ugandans abroad — helping them manage their finances, invest, and transact as easily as if they were still at home.
> “We are here to listen to our customers, understand their needs, and offer practical solutions that connect them to opportunities back in Uganda,” a member of the visiting team said. “Our diaspora clients are an important part of Uganda’s economy, and we’re committed to walking this journey with them.”
The bank’s outreach also focuses on helping Ugandans abroad formalize their financial plans, including mortgage financing, investment accounts, and digital banking tools that simplify money transfers and savings.
With remittances from Ugandans abroad continuing to play a vital role in the country’s economic growth, Equity Bank’s move marks a strong push to support financial inclusion and deepen ties with the diaspora community.
For Ugandans in the Middle East hoping to connect with the team, Equity Bank encourages them to bring the following documents: a valid passport, a copy of the passport, national ID, proof of residency, and a colored passport photo.
As the tour continues, the bank urges the public to stay tuned to its social media pages for daily updates and insights from the engagements across the region.
