The Gimara Land Owners Association has donated 10 acres of land to the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Obongi, Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka. This gesture is in appreciation of his efforts in developing Obongi district, fighting poverty, and promoting government-funded programs.
The Gimara Land Owners Association, composed of elders and opinion leaders, owns and controls land in the original sub-county of Obongi. The association’s Vice Chairperson, Hajji Swadiq Mamu, represented Chairperson Aile Kasim in the donation ceremony. Hajji Mamu stated that they decided to donate the land to RDC Hashaka because he is the first RDC in the district to listen and care for ordinary people, fight corruption, promote government programs, and advocate for the rights of the poor. He emphasized that Hashaka’s efforts in promoting transparency, accountability, and socio-economic transformation have made a significant impact.
Hajji Mamu also expressed gratitude to President Museveni for deploying Hashaka to Obongi. He mentioned that the most valuable gift they could give to show their appreciation is land. Additionally, Mamu promised that they would continue to support President Museveni in future elections.
The association praised Hashaka for his exemplary service over 20 years as an RDC in Uganda. They appealed to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa to consider promoting Hashaka to the level of a cabinet minister, believing that he could further contribute to the development of Uganda.
Furthermore, the Gimara Land Owners Association donated ten acres of land to Assistant RDC Obongi Umuhoza Habiba Furaha and Town Clerk of Obongi Town Council Makosa Said Sebbi. The association expressed their gratitude to both officials for their cooperation with RDC Hashaka in the development efforts for Obongi district.
In response, RDC Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka thanked the Obongi elders for their generous offer and appreciation. He pledged to continue his efforts in developing the district.

Mr. JOHN JOHN, what is wrong with furnishing a journalist with a right information for publication in the absence of reporter himself and after editing he/she circulated for public consumption?
