Senior Journalist Ronald Alele Ongwech is poised to become the next LC3 Chairman of Agikdak Sub-county, Amolatar District, aiming to enhance proper service delivery. Alele, commonly known as the “Man of the People,” has pledged to improve service delivery and ensure the prudent use of resources if elected into office.
He emphasized that the people of Agikdak Sub-county are lagging behind in terms of development due to corruption perpetuated by cartels in the area. Alele warned that financial theft and corruption hinder service delivery to the people.
As the Jubilee candidate, Alele promised to implement a comprehensive plan to eradicate cartels within Agikdak Sub-county within 90 days after assuming office in the 2026 general election. He emphasized his focus on governance and combating corruption, which he views as serious impediments to service delivery.
Alele also vowed to equip all health facilities in Agikdak Sub-county with drugs and personnel to enhance health service provision, expressing concerns over the deteriorating health sector in the area. He highlighted health as a priority in his manifesto and administration, pledging to improve health facilities to the required standards compared to other parts of the Lango sub-region.
Furthermore, Alele outlined plans to promote nurses’ allowances and promotion equity, boost agriculture, and improve road infrastructure in Agikdak Sub-county. He emphasized food security as a key agenda item, promising to provide subsidized seeds and fertilizers to improve farmers’ output. Additionally, Alele pledged support for fishing, fish farming, and livestock rearing, recognizing agriculture as the source of food, livelihoods, and income.
Alele also committed to improving infrastructure in Agikdak Sub-county, aiming to address issues such as bad roads and lack of electricity access. He highlighted the need for government intervention to utilize taxes effectively for the benefit of the people.
Alele called upon his supporters to remain calm and peaceful throughout the campaign period, urging them to manage their emotions even amidst provocation. He emphasized the importance of mobilizing efforts for development and expressed confidence in his ability to lead Agikdak Sub-county effectively as the LC3 Chairman.
