Uganda Cranes attacking midfielder Allan Okello has joined Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC on a three-year contract in a major transfer coup for the Kitende-based club.
The 23-year-old, who is a free agent after leaving Algerian side Paradou AC, is the latest addition to Vipers’ squad ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Okello is a highly-rated midfielder who has been tipped for big things in the future. He rose to prominence as a 16-year-old at KCCA FC, where he won two Uganda Premier League titles and was named FUFA Male Player of the Year in 2019.
He joined Paradou AC in 2020, but spent last season on loan at KCCA, where he scored five goals and provided eight assists in the Uganda Premier League.
