UPDF Defends Quality of Work at Namboole Stadium
The Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) issued a statement reaffirming the progress and quality of the Rehabilitation of Mandela National Stadium in Namboole in response to an online news article titled “UPDF has done substandard work at Namboole Stadium with Shs.97bn” published on www.freemannewsug.com.
According to the UPDF, the stadium rehabilitation project is progressing well, with work being carried out diligently. However, the main challenge faced at present is the lack of funds provided by the client.
The UPDF asserts that all rehabilitation efforts at Namboole Stadium adhere to international standards, as outlined in the FIFA guidelines manual and the requirements set by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Furthermore, representatives from various sports governing bodies, including CAF, FIFA, and the Athletic Federation, as well as the President of the Uganda Rugby Union, have visited the stadium and provided guidance on the rehabilitation process.
According to the Statement, despite any criticisms or distractions, the UPDF remains committed to delivering the highest quality of service to the country. They assure Ugandans that their focus on excellence will not waver, and they will continue to uphold the standards set forth by international sports organizations.
