Victory for Johnnie Walker II Team in Absa Pro-Am Golf Tournament

The Absa Bank-sponsored Pro-Am golf tournament at the Kitante course, a par 72 golf course, came to a thrilling conclusion. The Johnnie Walker II team, composed of Paul Habyarimana (43), Daniel Kalimuzo (33), Sammy Migunda (26), and professional golfer Ronald Rugumayo (39), emerged as the winners. They secured their spots in next year’s Magical Kenya Open with a total of 115 points. Rugumayo, the pro golfer in their team, received a prize of three million Ugandan shillings.

HH Solutions finished in the second position with a total of 113 points, and Absa Bank VII secured the third spot with 112 points.

Marvin Kibirige delivered a standout performance as a professional, achieving a score of six under par (66) in the tournament. This event brought together teams of amateur and professional golfers, playing in foursomes. The top three teams’ professional golfers claimed the prize money.

In the upcoming Magical Kenya Open, which is an European Tour event, Absa Bank will be providing support for ten golfers. This support includes coverage for both amateurs and professionals.

The top five professional golfers included Marvin Kibirige (42), Denis Anguyo (40), Ronald Rugumayo (39), Paulino Kasoma (39), and a golfer from Namibia.

For next year’s Open, Absa Bank has committed to sponsoring five amateurs and five professionals.
