Dear Fellow Ugandans,

As representatives of the NUP Diaspora team, we appeal to the people of Dokolo District to unify and extend their full support to our candidate for Woman MP, Harriet Ageno. With the approaching by-election to fill the void left by the late Hon. Cecilia Ogwal, it is imperative that we join forces to elect a leader who will advocate for the needs and aspirations of Dokolo district.

Harriet Ageno has demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication to serving the people of Dokolo District over the years. She has been actively engaged in campaigning alongside President Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi and other members of Parliament and party leadership, showcasing her passion for positive change and her vision for a brighter future for Dokolo.

Dokolo District grapples with numerous challenges in service delivery, including insufficient healthcare facilities, inadequate road infrastructure, youth unemployment, and educational shortcomings. The residents of Dokolo deserve better, and it is time for new leadership and innovative ideas to drive progress and development in the community.

NUP advocates for equal opportunities for all Ugandans, irrespective of tribe or background. We believe in ensuring that every citizen benefits from national resources and regional wealth, which have been exploited under the current regime. Now is the opportune moment for change, and Harriet Ageno is the candidate who will tirelessly hold the regime accountable and champion policies that genuinely improve the lives of the people of Dokolo District.

While we acknowledge the presence of other candidates in the race, it is evident that the parties they represent have overseen Dokolo’s affairs for years without substantial progress. Change is imperative, and Harriet Ageno brings the fresh perspective and bold leadership that Dokolo district urgently requires.

We urge all advocates for change in Uganda to turn out in large numbers and cast their votes on March 21, 2024, for the Dokolo Woman MP by-election. Let us unite behind Harriet Ageno and collectively strive towards a brighter future for the neglected communities of Dokolo and northern Uganda under the Museveni regime.

Sincerely,

Dr. Daniel Kawuma NUP Diaspora Team Leader
