A prominent church called “The Great Salvation Ministry” has enrolled over 70 women in adult education programs in Kakoge C, Kakoge Ward, Lira City West Division in Lira City. Patrick Arwai, the overseer of the church, and Evangelist Eunice Etap Arwai confirmed in a press briefing held at the church premises on Monday that a number of project skills are being taught to the churchgoers in order for them to join the money economy of socio-economic transformation.
In a related development, they have a super poultry farm with over 200 parent stock of chickens. According to the church administrator, Amoki Moris, the Great Salvation Church is sponsoring total orphans and disadvantaged children. It also has a VSLA for over 80 members called “Women in Action.”
According to Evangelist Eunice Etap Arwai, they began the VSLA with 500,000 shillings given to them by Minister Jane Aceng Ocero, and now they are progressing well with millions of shillings as a success story. She congratulated Hon. Minister Aceng for the capital she donated to them some time back.
Healing and deliverance, home management, among others, have fully changed the lives of women under the church umbrella within a short period of time. The Great Salvation Church was founded and registered in 2020.
