The Secretary General of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, held a consultative meeting with several legislators from the Lango region who are affiliated with the ruling party. The meeting took place at the NRM party secretariat and included discussions on various important issues affecting the area.
The meeting was also attended by the Chief Government Whip, Hon. Denis Hamson Obua. One of the key topics of discussion was the government’s efforts in fulfilling its 2021-2026 manifesto. This included addressing unfulfilled government pledges and reviewing the outcomes of recent by-elections.
In addition to Todwong and Obua, the meeting saw the participation of several high-ranking party officials. Dr. Tanga Odoi, Chairman of the NRM’s Electoral Commission, was present, as were Directors Hon. Rosemary Nansubuga Seninde (Mobilization), Hajjati Medina Naham (Finance and Administration), Hon. Emmanuel Dombo (Communications), and Major Awich Pollar (External Affairs).
The discussions were part of the preparations for the Secretary General’s upcoming mobilization tour in northern Uganda. This tour aims to strengthen party support and ensure that the government’s development agenda is being effectively communicated and implemented in the region.
