Strategic Partnership with South African Airways
Uganda Airlines is also in advanced stages of forming an interline agreement with South African Airways. This partnership will enhance connectivity for passengers, allowing for more seamless travel across the African continent and beyond. The route networks of both airlines will complement each other, offering expanded travel options.
Uganda Airlines CEO Jenifer Bamuturaki discussed these developments at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Wings of Change Focus Africa conference, held in Johannesburg on July 2-3. She emphasized the importance of this interline agreement for improving passenger connectivity and strengthening the airline’s presence in the market.
With these new aircraft and expanded routes, the CEO claimed Uganda Airlines is poised for significant growth. She added that the airline’s strategic initiatives aim to improve its service offerings, enhance passenger experience, and increase its market share in both regional and international markets.
