Ubuntu Bafumbira United Association Donates Health Equipment Worth Over 60 Million Shillings to Kisoro District

The Ubuntu Bafumbira United Association has donated medical equipment worth approximately 60 million shillings to Kisoro District Local Government. The equipment will be distributed to various health facilities in the district.

Eight health centers (Bunagana HC3, Busanza HC3, Nyamisinda HC3, Nyabihuniko HC3, Nyagisozi HC3, Nyakinama HC3, Gasovu HC3, and Bukimbiri HC3) received one hospital bed, one hospital mattress, one dynamathological bed with shoulder support, one four-screen panel, one drip stand, and one wheelchair each.




The Kisoro district authorities received the equipment at the district headquarters and subsequently transported it to the respective health facilities.




The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Kisoro, Swaibu Balaba, expressed gratitude to the organization for its support to service delivery in the district. He urged the district local government to cooperate with the association for further support in various areas.




Kisoro District LCV Abel Bizimana emphasized the significance of the medical equipment donation in improving service delivery at health facilities. He encouraged the Ubuntu Bafumbira United Association to continue advocating for the people of Kisoro, particularly in creating opportunities through partnerships with the central government.

Annet Dusabe, the assistant district health officer, highlighted the urgent need for new delivery beds and praised the association for its timely intervention. She emphasized that the donation would enable safer delivery care for mothers.

The assistant Resident District Commissioner, John Nizeyi, acknowledged the government’s conducive environment for the Ubuntu Bafumbira United Association to achieve its goals.




Meanwhile, Twambaze Julius, the coordinator of the association, urged the people of Kisoro to support the Isangano festival to ensure continued services.
