The East Africa Investment Forum and Trade Exhibition is set to run concurrently with the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and G77+China summits in Kampala in an endeavor to foster economic cooperation and showcase investment opportunities. The organizers extend a warm invitation to Ugandans and other participants, creating a unique platform for discussions and exhibitions from January 17-18, 2024, under the theme: “Deeper Cooperation in Trade, Tourism, and Investment for Shared Global Affluence.”

Taking center stage at the Kampala Serena Hotel from January 15-18, 2024, this forum shines a spotlight on East Africa, unveiling its vast business and investment potential to NAM and G77+China member states. The collaboration between NAM and G77 aims to establish an environment conducive to South-South cooperation, reflecting the spirit of collaboration among nations.

The G77, comprising 135 developing countries, works collectively within the UN to advance their economic interests and strengthen their bargaining power. Against the backdrop of vibrant industries and innovative projects, the forum will showcase East Africa’s economic growth drivers, emphasizing sectors like tourism, agri-value addition, mineral beneficiation, oil and gas, and ICT.

The forum aligns with the goal of regional integration, fostering stronger ties within East Africa and promoting collaborative efforts for unified economic development. Organizers also extend an invitation to NAM and G77 member states to explore lucrative opportunities in East Africa, encouraging knowledge transfer and joint ventures.
