House Speaker Anitah Among has expressed outrage over the Ministry of Finance’s decision to slash Parliament’s budget by a whopping 50%. MPs, known for their eloquence in debate, have labeled this move as nothing short of humiliating and insulting to the esteemed Legislature. One MP exclaimed, “Reducing our budget by half? Are we supposed to work for free? And to add insult to injury, they highlight it in bold! It’s like they’re saying Parliament doesn’t deserve a penny.”

This uproar comes amidst widespread attention on Parliament due to allegations of corruption and extravagant spending. However, it remains unclear whether the Finance Ministry’s decision was influenced by these scandalous reports circulating on social media. Perhaps they were hoping to teach the MPs a lesson or two about fiscal responsibility.

Will the MPs manage to negotiate their way out of this budgetary debacle, or will they be left counting their pennies like ordinary citizens?
