Otuke, Ugnada – The Ankole Times has learned that numerous voters in Olilim Sub-county, Otuke District, have petitioned and written to Mr. Emmanuel Ogwal, urging him to run as an LCV Councilor in the upcoming 2026 elections.
Emmanuel Ogwal, a former teacher, expressed his commitment to addressing pressing community needs, notably the lack of coded schools in Olilim Sub-county. He emphasized his intention to collaborate with the district to ensure the coding of these community schools upon his election.
Ogwal highlighted the inadequate healthcare infrastructure, noting the absence of a single Health Centre II in all parishes within Olilim Sub-county. He emphasized the necessity of accessible medical services and pledged to address this issue if elected.
Running under the NRM party ticket, Ogwal aspires to represent Olilim Sub-county as the next Honorable District Councilor Five in Otuke District Local Government.
Local residents echoed their support for Ogwal’s candidacy, citing dissatisfaction with current service delivery and the need for effective leadership. They expressed confidence in Ogwal’s ability to advocate for their interests and lobby for essential services from the district.
In an interview, Ogwal reaffirmed his determination to contest the 2026 elections under the NRM party, promising to serve all residents of Olilim Sub-county impartially, regardless of tribe, religion, or location.
