He added that President Museveni has made a commendable move by appointing youth to ministerial positions, including Hon. Lilian Aber of Kitgum as the Minister of State for Relief and Disaster Preparedness, and Dr. Kenneth Omona Olusegun as the State Minister for Northern Uganda Affairs. Asio Omaswa has taken over his position as the Principal Private Secretary to the President. This is a significant achievement for the youth of Northern Uganda and the entire country.
A few days after the reshuffle made by H.E Gen. Yoweri Museveni Kaguta, a section of youth in the entertainment industry in Lango and Acholi sub-regions couldn’t hide their happiness. Many of them have commended President Museveni for considering their colleagues Omona and Lilian Aber in the entertainment section, including Mr. Balaam Barugahara as a Minister.
“We are delighted with the President for considering Mr. Balaam. Balaam is a good leader, tested and trusted; we know he can deliver the tasks ahead of him very well,” said Odoi.
In an exclusive interview with The Ankole Times newspaper, Odoo Kennedy, popularly known as Kennedy Bobie, and a renowned entertainer, has sent his congratulatory message to Balaam Barugahara. He told The Ankole Times newspaper that, in his opinion as Mr. Odoo Kennedy Bobi, an event promoter in Lango, the appointment demonstrates Museveni’s love and vision for the young people in the entertainment industry.
“As a vibrant young person in the entertainment industry, I want to congratulate you, Mr. Balam, upon your appointment as State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs. Your appointment is a reward from Mzee for your commitment to nation-building. We therefore urge you to promote peace, unity, and love among the young people of Uganda.”
Mr. Odoo also appealed to Hon. Balaam to coordinate and connect some eloquent young people in the entertainment industry within various departments in government as he takes on the mantle of a new job in the NRM government.
