KISORO: The National Resistance Movement (NRM) has suspended its scheduled campaigns for party Member of Parliament candidates, originally set to run from Tuesday, July 1 to July 14, 2025.

The postponement is due to delays in the distribution of essential campaign materials.

The announcement was made yesterday by Kisoro District NRM Elections Officer, Majambere Tadeo, during a press briefing held at his office in Kisoro Municipality.

Majambere explained that several districts, including Kisoro, have not yet received key logistical equipment from the party’s headquarters in Kampala, making it difficult to proceed with the campaign schedule as planned.

Majambere urged aspiring candidates to embrace the development, stating that the postponement would provide an opportunity to better organize and ensure peaceful, free, and fair campaigns and voting.
