AGAGO, Uganda –The Member of Parliament representing Agago West constituency in the 11th Parliament, Hon. Anywar Ricky Richard, has urged the community in the district to embrace wealth creation as a key aspect of socio-economic transformation.
In an interview with this publication, Hon. Anywar emphasized that his contributions in the 11th Parliament are evident through his efforts to empower the local community, participate in national events, and lobby for the constituents.
He is known for supporting various projects and groups and has built a self-funded medical facility in Lira Palwo, Agago County, Agago District.
During the interview, he addressed the comments of O Aya Goddy Godfrey, a close friend of Hon. Anywar. Godfrey stated, “If I were appointed as the new Resident District Commissioner, I would earnestly request to be assigned to Agago District.
My primary objective would be to safeguard the interests of Honorable Beatrice Akori, the Minister of Economic Development, and Honorable Ricky Anywar Richard, also known as ‘Agago Mito Action.’
These individuals have demonstrated unwavering commitment to their constituents, providing invaluable service to their district. Their selfless dedication stands in stark contrast to the opportunistic actions of those who have exploited their positions for personal gain.”
