Ukrainian armed forces have reported the elimination of more than 1,230 Russian soldiers and the destruction of 45 artillery systems in just one day, underscoring the continued strength of Ukraine’s resistance and the escalating losses suffered by Kremlin forces.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, these latest battlefield figures from 30 April mark a sharp rise in enemy casualties. The total number of Russian troops killed since the beginning of the full scale invasion on 24 February 2022 has now reached approximately 953,190 personnel.

The growing list of losses is a major blow to the Russian dictator’s campaign, as Ukraine’s defensive and offensive operations continue to degrade the Kremlin’s military capabilities. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence emphasises that data is continually being updated, and this tally reflects only confirmed losses.
This follows another grim milestone reached just days earlier, when the number of Russian soldiers killed exceeded 950,000. The Russian military, once hailed by the Kremlin as one of the strongest in the world, is now facing a death toll that far exceeds that of any post-Soviet war.
Ukrainian soldiers, supported by the country’s defence industry, intelligence operations, and foreign allies, continue to hold the line and drive back occupation forces across multiple fronts. Drones, precision-guided munitions, and efficient artillery deployment have all played a role in raising the Kremlin’s losses.
