KYIV – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has firmly dismissed the notion that a proposed thirty-day ceasefire would either obstruct the delivery of Western arms to Ukraine or provide any meaningful advantage to the Russian forces. In a briefing reported by UNN, Zelenskyy clarified that critical military support from allied nations, especially the United States, has already been stationed in Europe for months and continues to arrive in Ukraine regardless of the current battlefield situation.

The Ukrainian head of state made it clear that the process of arms delivery is well beyond the influence of temporary truces. He stated that Russia’s claims that a ceasefire could halt military supplies are fundamentally flawed and misleading.

“A thirty-day period will not be enough for anyone to fully recover,” Zelenskyy said. “Russia says it wants no supplies at this time, but it does not work like that. It will not help anyone. It certainly will not help the Russians.”

The president emphasised that a wide range of military aid, including weapons and equipment, has already been transported across borders and now lies in Ukrainian warehouses ready for deployment.

“What kind of supplies will stop? They have been in Europe for months,” he said. “This or that equipment, this or that weapon – it is not a secret even for the Russians. They understand this.”

Zelenskyy explained that many of the arms shipments dispatched from the United States months ago are continuing to reach Ukraine. He suggested that those who claim otherwise have a poor grasp of how international military logistics actually function.

“What came out of the United States of America six months ago comes in one way or another,” he continued. “So it will not help. This can only be said by people who do not understand the formats of arms supply.”

Further dismantling Russian propaganda narratives, Zelenskyy pointed out that regulations or theoretical bans on moving certain types of weapons across borders are simply not applicable to the current situation. Everything Ukraine needs is already secured and stored within the country.

“As for the ban on crossing the border with certain types of weapons, it does not work that way,” the president noted. “What we need – everything is already in our warehouses.”

Zelenskyy concluded by stressing that only a real ceasefire – one based on genuine political will – would open the door to meaningful discussions about ending the war. He said that without such a commitment from the Russian dictator, there can be no legitimate working group negotiations or progress toward peace.
