Agents from Ukraine’s ATESH partisan movement have disabled a railway relay cabinet used by Russian forces to transport weapons and military equipment to the frontline near the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The act of sabotage has significantly disrupted enemy supply chains and intensified logistical pressure on the Russian military in this critical northern sector of the battlefield.
The operation, which was revealed via a Telegram message by the ATESH movement, targeted a relay cabinet along a railway line frequently used by Russian forces to move supplies to occupying troops near Ukraine’s northern borders. According to the partisans, the railway infrastructure was essential to the Russian war effort in the region.
The statement praised the bravery of ATESH agents and highlighted the growing impact of partisan warfare in complicating the Russian military’s ability to maintain combat effectiveness. The disruption of supply lines not only delays the delivery of weapons and ammunition, but also undermines morale among frontline Russian units.
“Thanks to the courageous actions of our partisans, the enemy faces serious disruptions in the delivery of essential resources. Every day that we complicate their logistics brings our victory closer,” the message stated.
ATESH added that this operation is part of a broader campaign of resistance taking place across multiple regions, as partisans continue to hit military infrastructure, command hubs, and supply nodes.
This latest act of sabotage comes on the heels of a report from ATESH regarding heavy Russian casualties within the 24th Motorised Rifle Regiment. Partisans claim that Kremlin military leadership is ignoring the deteriorating conditions on the front, leading to high numbers of casualties and missing personnel.
