The Ukrainian army has carried out successful artillery strikes on key bridges located within Russia’s Belgorod and Kursk regions. These bridges, which serve as critical logistical routes for the movement of troops and equipment by the occupying Russian army, were hit and severely damaged, leaving them unusable.
According to footage and images circulated on Russian Telegram channels, the bridge near the village of Tishanka in the Belgorod region was struck and completely disabled following an intense artillery bombardment carried out by Ukrainian forces. This attack was aimed at disrupting Russian military supply lines operating close to the Ukrainian border.
A second strike occurred in the Kursk region. There, Ukrainian forces utilised the Himars multiple rocket launcher system to destroy a bridge in the village of Snagost, which crosses the river of the same name. The precision of the assault and the scale of destruction were evident in the photos shared by the Russian military on its own platforms.
Both bridges were integral to Russian military logistics, aiding in the transportation of troops and equipment deeper into occupied Ukrainian territory. The destruction of these structures dealt a substantial blow to the Russian dictator’s military operations, hampering their ability to reinforce and resupply from within their own territory.
Though Russia has attempted to downplay the significance of the strikes, the visible damage and admission by its own military sources pointed to a growing vulnerability on their side of the border, a situation the war bloggers wanted to point out.
