Kremlin propagandist Vladimir Solovyov launched into a furious rant rejecting the idea of any ceasefire in Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine in a disturbing outburst aired on Russian television. His tirade, delivered with rage and venom, openly attacked European leaders and mocked diplomatic efforts, exposing the Russian regime’s continued appetite for violence rather than peace.
Solovyov, one of the most notorious mouthpieces of the Kremlin, lashed out at French President Emmanuel Macron and United States President Donald Trump, both of whom have previously made cautious references to the concept of ceasefire or negotiations in the war. Solovyov sneered at the very idea, ridiculing them as weak and irrelevant, and denied any legitimacy to Western efforts aimed at ending the war Russia began in Ukraine in 2014.
With theatrical aggression, Solovyov insisted that Russia has no intention of stopping the war and portrayed Ukraine and the West as enemies deserving punishment. He dismissed sanctions, threatened nuclear strikes, and insulted Western leaders as “cocaine addicts” and “Nazi scum”. “We want your fear, not your love,” he barked, insisting that Europe should tremble under the threat of Russian missiles.
Throughout the broadcast, Solovyov referred to European governments as “Nazi regimes”, echoing discredited Kremlin propaganda that falsely labels democratic countries opposing Russian aggression as fascist. He lamented that France, the United Kingdom, and Germany still have embassies in Russia and suggested they should be expelled immediately.
He specifically warned France and Britain, saying their combined nuclear arsenal is “pathetic” compared to Russia’s and claimed that no part of their territory would survive if war escalated. “We have plenty of territory,” he boasted, clearly implying Russia could afford such destruction while others could not.
Solovyov even suggested Western officials should be added to Russia’s wanted lists for supporting Ukraine, particularly those attending recent meetings in Lviv aimed at preparing for an international tribunal to hold Russia accountable for war crimes.
As his monologue grew more unhinged, he scorned the very notion of negotiations. He stated that it is pointless to talk to “lackeys” and that only direct talks with Trump would be of interest, though he simultaneously undermined Trump’s relevance. “Why should we speak with those who decide nothing?” he scoffed.
By the end of the tirade, Solovyov made his darkest statement yet: “You want a ceasefire. I want your death.” It was a chilling declaration that underlines the Russian dictator’s true intentions through his spokespeople — total destruction and vengeance, not diplomacy.
Such statements come amid global concerns over Russia’s ongoing war crimes in Ukraine, the occupation of Ukrainian territories, and the open threats of nuclear escalation. As the war drags on into its third year since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, it is evident that voices like Solovyov’s are not merely rhetoric but are part of a state-driven policy of aggression, denial, and dehumanisation of Ukraine and its allies.
I’m weary of listening to these lunatics…time for a preemptive strike on the Kremlin?
