The Armed Forces of Ukraine have released striking footage showing the precise destruction of two Russian tanks hiding in abandoned buildings in the Toretsk direction. The tanks were located and targeted by drone operators from the 28th Separate Mechanised Brigade, known as the Knights of the Winter Campaign. The video was published by the operational strategic group of troops “Khortytsia” via Telegram.
The battalion responsible, known as “Spalah” within the brigade’s unmanned systems unit, tracked the Russian military equipment with drones before launching a successful strike. The tanks, concealed in the ruins of derelict structures, were struck with exacting precision, showcasing the drone operators’ accuracy and coordination.
“Another minus two tank sheds for the enemy,” read the message posted alongside the footage. “The enemy hid his armoured vehicles in abandoned buildings. The jewellery and skillful work of the pilots brought them down.”
The military praised the drone operators for their “flawless” execution, underscoring that Russian forces may hide, but they cannot escape the watchful eyes of Ukraine’s aerial units. “The enemy can hide, but no occupier can escape from their birds,” said the Khortytsia unit.
In recent operations, Ukrainian drone teams have continued to demonstrate overwhelming superiority in the use of unmanned systems. Earlier this month, in the Pokrovsk direction, operators from the Corsar battalion destroyed a T-72 tank and two Russian armoured vehicles. Separately, in the Sumy direction, the Magura unit published dramatic footage of Russian forces being neutralised as they attempted to storm Ukrainian positions.
