In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces have successfully destroyed four Russian artillery guns along with their ammunition supplies. The operation was carried out by the 45th Separate Artillery Brigade named after General Myron Tarnavskyi and was supported by aerial reconnaissance. A video capturing the moment of destruction has been shared by the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops via their official Telegram channel.
Ukrainian reconnaissance teams located the enemy’s artillery positions, which included two D-20 howitzers and two D-30 guns. These weapons had been used by Russian troops to fire on Ukrainian positions. Once the enemy locations were confirmed, Ukrainian artillery forces launched accurate strikes that neutralised all four guns and their associated ammunition.
The caption on the published video stated, “Thanks to the attentiveness of aerial reconnaissance, the enemy could not reliably hide the guns, and as a result of accurate strikes by our gunners, they were turned into scrap metal.”
This latest successful attack underscores Ukraine’s growing effectiveness in battlefield coordination between reconnaissance units and artillery teams.
Previously, Ukrainian forces also released footage showing the Corsar battalion destroying a Russian T-72 tank and two armoured fighting vehicles using drones in the Pokrovsk direction. Another video shows Russian occupiers being eliminated during a failed storming attempt on Ukrainian positions.
On 21 May alone, over 100 clashes were reported at the front. The Russian army launched 62 air strikes and deployed 1,218 kamikaze drones. Despite the Kremlin’s relentless attacks, Ukrainian troops continue to resist with precision and resilience.
