A 57 year old employee of the Pervomaisk City Council in the Mykolaiv region has been arrested by Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) on charges of espionage. She is accused of spying for the Russian occupiers by gathering sensitive military information about the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the southern part of the country.
According to the investigation, the woman systematically recorded and transmitted data to the enemy. This included the locations of Ukrainian military units, their movement routes, the quantity and types of military equipment, and details of troop deployments near the front line. This intelligence was sent through a special spy chat bot, reportedly controlled by another traitor currently hiding in the Russian occupied city of Donetsk. He is identified as Serhiy Lebedev, known by the alias “lokhmatyi”.
The intelligence collected was to be used by the Russian side to plan new terrorist attacks and launch strikes against Ukrainian positions and civilian areas in the south.
Following her arrest, investigators seized the suspect’s mobile phones and computer equipment used in her subversive activities. She has been officially charged under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which refers to treason committed during martial law.
The woman is now in custody and could face a life sentence along with confiscation of all personal property if found guilty.
