Ukraine has reportedly launched a targeted drone strike on a Russian S-400 “Triumph” air defence system positioned in the occupied Crimean Peninsula, causing significant damage to the radar unit. The strike, carried out by three unmanned aerial vehicles, took place on the outskirts of Saky, a village in western Crimea.
Images shared across verified Ukrainian Telegram channels on Wednesday appear to show the aftermath of the attack, with the S-400 system visibly damaged. The operation marks a further step in Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to reclaim strategic dominance over Crimea, which was illegally seized by Russia in 2014.
Although no official confirmation has been issued by Ukrainian military officials, and Russian state-controlled media has remained silent on the incident, the visual evidence circulating online suggests that the strike was both precise and effective.
