The Kyiv region endured yet another intense missile assault in the early hours of the morning from the Russian regime, leaving widespread destruction, fires and civilian casualties in its wake. The latest in a series of brutal attacks from the Kremlin, this bombardment caused chaos across several communities in and around Kyiv.
In the Obukhiv district, a residential home was entirely destroyed. A woman born in 1997 tragically lost her life in the attack. Three others were injured, including two adults born in 1966 and 1964 and a young child born in 2019. Emergency teams rushed to the scene, navigating through wreckage and fire to reach the victims.
Elsewhere in the region, a multi-storey apartment building sustained severe damage, and nearby garages caught fire. In the Fastiv district, a warehouse covering 500 square metres was obliterated, along with a separate utility building. A medical centre measuring 5,000 square metres also caught fire during the strike.
Emergency services responded swiftly, with 55 firefighters and 17 emergency vehicles deployed to manage the fires and assist the wounded. Authorities are still verifying the number of dead and injured, as operations continue through the day.
