The failed test came just hours before a crucial two‑hour phone call between Donald Trump and the Russian dictator aimed at forcing Moscow to “stop the bloodbath” in Ukraine.
During the call, Mr Trump said negotiations towards a ceasefire and an end to the war would begin immediately. He described the discussion as candid and highly useful, noting that the Russian dictator admitted he must make a peace deal. According to Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov, the conversation began with congratulations on the birth of Trump’s eleventh grandson and shifted swiftly to the situation in Ukraine.
