The impact of Haniyeh’s assassination on Hamas and the broader political landscape remains a topic of significant discussion.

BURSA (İGFA) — Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’ Political Bureau, was killed in an assassination in Tehran on Tuesday. The incident has prompted reactions from various countries and sparked discussions about how it will affect Hamas.

Palestinian activist Musa Hicazi, speaking to the Duysun News Agency, suggested that the assassination might actually strengthen Hamas rather than weaken it. Hicazi noted that Hamas is a highly organized and disciplined group. He pointed out that Hamas has experienced losses in the past but has managed to overcome challenges due to its strong organizational structure.

Hicazi also highlighted that Khalid Meshaal, who will replace Haniyeh, is an experienced leader. According to Hicazi, both the political and military wings of Hamas are likely to emerge stronger from this situation.

Furthermore, Hicazi believes that the assassination of Haniyeh could legitimize Hamas’ presence and resistance. He remarked, “Sometimes, God elevates the oppressed through the actions of the oppressors. Hopefully, this will lead to a positive outcome and a free Palestine. May God accept Haniyeh’s martyrdom.”
