(Los Angeles) – Elon Musk's daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, announced her decision to leave the U.S. after Donald Trump’s re-election, citing personal concerns over the country’s political direction and her strained relationship with her father.

(Los Angeles) – Vivian Jenna Wilson, daughter of Elon Musk, has officially stated her intentions to leave the United States following the recent victory of Donald Trump in the presidential election. Wilson, 20, who has had a public and challenging relationship with Musk, voiced her reasons on the social media platform Threads. She expressed concerns about remaining in the U.S., explaining that Trump’s re-election highlighted what she perceives as a divisive atmosphere for marginalized groups, including the transgender community.

In her post, Wilson explained that while Trump’s term might only last four years, the sentiments held by those who voted for him would likely persist. “Even if he’s only in office for 4 years, even if the anti-trans regulations magically don’t happen, the people who willingly voted this in are not going anywhere anytime soon,” she said, showing her concern about a lasting environment that feels unfriendly to her and others in similar situations.

Wilson’s relationship with Musk has been strained for several years. Since 2022, she has distanced herself from him, legally changing her name and gender. Musk, known for his outspoken views, once described his daughter as being “killed by the woke mind virus,” referring to his belief that progressive ideologies had influenced her decisions. Wilson, Musk’s child with his first wife, author Justine Wilson, has been vocal about Musk’s lack of support for her transition, stating that she has felt uninvolved and unsupported by her father.

This estrangement has included a series of public statements between the two, often involving Musk’s remarks on social media about Wilson. Recently, Musk referenced his daughter by her former name and made claims about her life, suggesting that her characteristics contributed to her identity. Wilson, in her response, labeled her father’s remarks as entirely fabricated, adding that they appeared “desperate” and intended to attract attention from certain online communities. She added that Musk’s statements seemed “completely fake” and lacked any basis in her real experiences.

Support for Wilson has come from her father’s former partner and musician Grimes, who expressed pride in Wilson’s decisions and resilience. Grimes, who shares three children with Musk, has not hesitated to publicly support Wilson, adding to the growing complexity of Musk’s family dynamics.

Musk, now a father of 11 with three mothers, continues to maintain a high-profile public presence, often attracting both support and criticism for his views.
