Okidi Patrick, Amolatar – NRM heavyweight and popular cadre, Hon. Bill Dickens Olal Agambo, who also serves as LCV councilor for Amolatar Town Council, has declared his intention to contest for Amolatar District Chairman in the 2026 general elections. He aims to replace the incumbent, Geoffrey Ocen Kiring, who is rumored to be vying for the Kyoga North Constituency parliamentary seat.
Olal Agambo publicly expressed his political ambitions, promising a swift victory in the upcoming elections. He made this announcement during a media address on Sunday morning in Amolatar Town Council.
“I am contesting unless circumstances change because it’s time to transform Amolatar,” he stated. He added that he was responding to the call of the people of Amolatar district who encouraged him to run for the LCV Chairman position without hesitation.
He urged the public to vote for him when the time comes, emphasizing that while he has only one vote, the combined votes of the community would secure his victory.
Key priorities on his agenda include upgrading Amolatar Health Centre IV to a district hospital, improving education and road networks in areas like Namasale, Agikdak, Muntu, and Agwingiri.
Agambo congratulated the people of Amolatar and assured them of his commitment to serving the district. He acknowledged that he would be competing against other candidates from different political parties who may also declare their intentions.
The aspiring leader pledged to engage directly with the community to understand their needs and to leverage his position to secure government resources for improving people’s lives. He expressed his admiration for President Museveni’s anti-corruption stance and vowed to follow in his footsteps.
Agambo concluded by emphasizing the importance of selfless leadership and stated his aspiration to be a leader who prioritizes service over personal interests.
