(Entebbe) – DRC President Felix Tshisekedi visited Uganda on October 30, 2024, at the invitation of President Yoweri Museveni to discuss regional cooperation and security.

His Excellency Felix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), arrived in Uganda for a working visit at the invitation of His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of Uganda. The visit took place at State House in Entebbe, where President Museveni warmly welcomed his counterpart.




President Tshisekedi was accompanied by a delegation of ministers and senior government officials from the DRC, underscoring the significance of this diplomatic engagement. During their discussions, both leaders focused on matters of mutual interest, reviewing current regional situations and developments.




A key focus of the bilateral talks was the commitment to regional peace and security. Both leaders expressed the importance of collaboration in addressing security challenges that affect the East African region. They acknowledged that stability in the DRC and Uganda is crucial for the broader area.




Additionally, President Museveni and President Tshisekedi highlighted the need to enhance existing economic and commercial ties between their nations.
