Strong Turnout for NUP as Tana Salim is Nominated in Kisoro By-elections

NUP leader Bobi Wine launched Tana Salim’s campaign for District Woman MP and inaugurated a new NUP office in Kisoro, met with a strong local welcome.

(Kisoro) – National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, nominated Tana Salim, also known as “Tana,” as NUP’s candidate for District Woman Member of Parliament in Kisoro District. The event, held on Thursday, marked an important step in NUP’s political outreach in the region.

Bobi Wine, who has risen as a prominent opposition leader in Uganda, expressed gratitude for the warm reception by Kisoro residents. He stated that he felt encouraged by the turnout and enthusiasm from the people, who welcomed the NUP team.




The visit also saw the official opening of a new NUP office in Kisoro, further establishing the party’s presence in southwestern Uganda.




This event forms part of NUP’s continued efforts to build its political influence across the country. The party has been focusing on mobilizing grassroots support and strengthening its organization at the district level, where it aims to connect with communities and address local issues.
