In the heart of Rakai District, where the roads are rough, water is a distant dream, and healthcare is a luxury few can afford, Mulindwa Ryan Kibedi has risen like a lion ready to roar for his people. Kooki Constituency, battered by years of neglect, now has a hero.
The people, tired of empty promises and lackluster leadership, are looking towards Kibedi as their savior, one who will turn their fortunes around. With the current MP, Boaz Kasirabo Nisiima, stepping aside in 2026, the stage is set for Kibedi to step into the limelight and lead the charge for a better Kooki.
Born on June 25, 1995, in Luteebe Village, Kooki Constituency, Mulindwa Ryan Kibedi’s story is one of struggle and triumph. Raised by a humble peasant father, Mr. Kasiita Deo Kibedi, he understands the meaning of hard work and sacrifice.
Kibedi grew up in a village where access to basic needs was a daily challenge. “I know the pain of walking miles for clean water, the despair of seeing children without books, and the struggle to travel on roads that are nothing but dust and mud,” he says. “But I am here to change that, to be the force that brings progress to Kooki.”
It’s said that “the child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.” This is the kind of determination Kibedi brings to the table. While other leaders have sat in their offices, watching Kooki sink into poverty, Kibedi has been on the ground, addressing the real issues.
He’s already had a huge impact, saving over 100 families in Mweruka Town Council from land grabbers and reconciling landlords and bibanja owners in Lwanda Sub County. These are the kind of results that speak volumes about the kind of leader Kibedi is: a man who delivers, not just promises.
In Kooki, where water is scarce, roads are nonexistent, and healthcare is a distant hope, Kibedi’s efforts are nothing short of revolutionary. “A bird does not fly with one wing,” he says, emphasizing the need for a collective effort in rebuilding his constituency. Under his leadership, roads are being rehabilitated, like the Lwanda-Butiti Highway and the Kisovu Road in Dyango Town Council, which are transforming Kooki and Rakai from a neglected area into a thriving, connected community. No longer will people be trapped in remote villages, unable to access markets, schools, or healthcare.

But Kibedi’s vision stretches far beyond roads. He is a champion of education and healthcare, knowing that a community cannot prosper if its people are sick or uneducated. As the CEO of Ample Heart Foundation and co-founder of MANCO, Kibedi has already extended free medical services to thousands in Kooki. Over 20 medical camps have been held, giving people the care they desperately need. Kibedi’s dedication to education is equally strong.
He has lobbied for scholarships and provided books to children in Kooki, ensuring that future generations will have the tools they need to succeed. As the saying goes, “A child who is not taught to cry will never know the value of laughter.” Kibedi is determined to teach the children of Kooki how to cry for a better future, and laugh when that future becomes a reality.
Kibedi’s activism has already made waves in Uganda. As Chief Investigations Officer for Overseas Workers Voice Uganda, he has fought tirelessly against human trafficking and the exploitation of migrant workers, especially in the Gulf States. His work has brought justice and hope to countless Ugandans who had lost their dignity to unscrupulous agents. He has not only stood up for the marginalized but has actively worked to change the system.
His leadership is not just for the elites; Kibedi has always been a man of the people. “Leadership is not about sitting in an office, it’s about being in the trenches with your people, sharing in their struggles and victories,” he says. Whether it’s advocating for a bridge in Rwabaganda or ensuring that the sick in remote villages get the medical care they deserve, Kibedi is always there, listening and acting.
As the people of Kooki wait for the next election, they know that Kibedi is the leader who will change their lives. “We cannot continue to live in a place where our children walk barefoot to school, where women give birth without proper medical care, and where our roads are like rivers in the rainy season,” he says. “It is time for Kooki to rise. It is time for Kooki to shine.”
Kibedi’s energy, passion, and results-driven approach have made him the people’s favorite. He is not just another politician looking for votes; he is a man on a mission. “The time for change is now. I am ready to lead Kooki into a new dawn,” he declares. With him at the helm, Kooki will no longer be one of Uganda’s most neglected constituencies. Under Kibedi’s leadership, it will be a model of progress, a beacon of hope for the entire country.
The people of Kooki are ready for change, and Kibedi is the leader who will bring it. “Together, we will build a Kooki that works for everyone,” he says. “Together, we will make Kooki the pride of Uganda.”
