The Law Development Centre (LDC) has issued a notice yesterday, December 6, announcing the dates for the 2024 graduation ceremony along with the prerequisites.
As per the notice, graduands from three different programs at various levels will participate in the ceremony. The graduation event is scheduled for December 19, 2024.
This ceremony will include those who have successfully completed the postgraduate bar course, the diploma in law course, and the diploma in human rights.
This marks the 52nd graduation ceremony of LDC and will be held in Kampala.
Moreover, LDC has outlined the requirements that graduands must meet on the day of the ceremony, including the specified attire. The fees associated with graduation have also been detailed.
Graduands are required to pick up invitation cards, which permit only two guests, from the Kampala campus. Further details can be found on the LDC noticeboard or via student emails.
Below is the complete notice released by the LDC academic registrar, Ms. Lukwanzi Stephanie:-
“The Academic Registrar, Law Development Center (LDC) informs candidates who successfully complet- ed the courses listed below:
1. Post Graduate Bar Course, 2023/2024 academic year and previous years,
2. Diploma in Law Course (Day, Evening and Weekend), 2023/2024 academic year and previous years,
3. Diploma in Human Rights Course 2023/2024 academic year and previous years, that the 52nd Graduation Ceremony shall be conducted at LDC Kampala Campus on 19th December 2024.
Graduands on the Post Graduate Bar Course will be required to wear full professional attire, that is, a suit. white shirt or blouse, wing collar, flaps and a Lawyer’s gown.
Diploma Graduands will be required to wear black gowns.
Every Graduand will be required to pay a graduation fee of Shs 400,000. The fee is inclusive of graduation (200,000/=), the Academic certificate and transcript (100,000/= each). The fees should be paid by 13th December, 2024. Each Graduand should collect an invitation card for two guests from Kampala Campus.
