Rt. Rev. Masaaba Kipto, the Bishop of Sebei Diocese, has expressed his appreciation for President Museveni, highlighting that Uganda is fortunate to have a leader like him who refrains from consuming alcohol. Kipto noted that he was only 18 years old when President Museveni came to power.
He has witnessed the significant changes the President has brought to the nation. According to the Bishop, Uganda’s current status is a direct result of President Museveni’s dedication and effort.
The Bishop claimed that Museveni genuinely cares for his people both economically and in terms of safety. He further stated that if he were God, he would wish to turn back the President’s age, as the country still requires his leadership.
“You are truly a blessing. Uganda is fortunate to have a President who abstains from alcohol, one who tirelessly addresses the issues of the people.
I have observed you traveling across the nation for four consecutive days, and you remain vigorous.
Your Excellency, may God immensely bless you for all that you do for us. If I were God, I would turn back your years, Your Excellency, because we still need you,” stated Rt. Rev. Masaaba Kipto, Bishop of Sebei Diocese.
In his comments, the President urged the residents of Sebei to capitalize on the peace established by the NRM government to lift themselves out of poverty.
It is noteworthy that Mr. Museveni has been on a three-day visit to the Sebei subregion to promote awareness about the Parish Development Model (PDM) and wealth generation.
The event saw various politicians from different levels come together with the NRM secretary general, Richard Todwong, as they endorsed President Museveni as the sole candidate for the upcoming 2026 general elections.
