Yesterday, during a roundtable discussion for his new initiative, Motivation Week, which aired on NBS, Galaxy FM, and NRG platforms, he announced that his second single, Motivation, will be released this Friday, February 21, 2025, across all major music platforms on the continent.
But this announcement wasn’t made in isolation. Bebe Cool also revealed that Motivation Week will become an annual celebration of motivators and a platform to inspire Ugandans. The event will take place every year in the week following Valentine’s Day.
Motivation Week is a Bebe Cool initiative designed to inspire Ugandans from different fields and sectors, providing a platform for deep conversations about challenges and solutions. The goal is to identify and celebrate motivators who drive progress in various industries.
As a father of young adults, Bebe Cool emphasized the importance of inspiring others and proving that success is achievable regardless of one’s background.
“I have children who are growing up. My peers and I have grown up. We all need to motivate each other,” he said.
During the discussion, Bebe Cool reflected on what motivates him. For instance, his determination to share his message once led him to board a bus to Nairobi.
Early in his career, Bebe Cool aspired to become the biggest dancehall artist, inspired by Jamaican legend Buju Banton. However, struggling to find a proper studio with the sound he envisioned, he took a leap of faith—traveling to Nairobi with nothing but hope and motivation.
Motivation is the second single from Break the Chains, an album that marks Bebe Cool’s exploration of the globally trending Afrobeats genre. He believes that, rather than resisting, artists should embrace the sound that the world is currently listening to.
