In a sad turn of events, Juncture Serugunda, a well-respected figure in the world of motocross, lost his life in a practice accident. Serugunda, often known as “Robotic,” was known for his humble and calm personality, as well as his dedication to the sport.
While participating in the practice session for the third heat of the combined M125 and veterans’ class, Serugunda suffered a crash. He was immediately attended to by medics and transported to Hospital Masaka. However, there was a delay in his transfer to the hospital as medical personnel worked to stabilize his condition. Tragically, despite their efforts, Serugunda was pronounced dead at Hospital Masaka.
Juncture Serugunda had also served as the captain of the Ugandan motocross team during the FIM MXOAN event held in South Africa. His untimely passing has left a void in the motocross community, and his friends and fellow athletes are offering their condolences and prayers to his family during this difficult time.
