His professional journey has placed him at the heart of Uganda’s most strategic sectors. As a Project Development Engineer for prominent firms like Mota Engil Uganda, Optima Mines, and Q3 Energies, Eng. Asiimwe has played pivotal roles in projects of national significance.




He was instrumental in Oil & Gas explorations in the Albertine Region, the meticulous planning of Kabaale International Airport in Hoima, and the successful development and supervision of the Tilenga Quarry Project in Buliisa. His expertise extends across dozens of ESIA/NEMA-certified projects stretching from Moroto to Kampala. Beyond his technical roles, Eng. Asiimwe’s entrepreneurial spirit is evident as the Executive Director of Jonard Conglomerate Investments Ltd (JCIL) and the Founder of Jonard Development Foundation, showcasing his commitment to both economic growth and community upliftment. He also chairs the Institute of Mining, Metallurgical & Petroleum Engineers Uganda (IMMPE-U), highlighting his leadership within his professional field.

Eng. Asiimwe is not just an expert behind the scenes; he is a well-recognized national voice. He frequently provides expert commentary on oil, gas, and minerals on major Ugandan television networks including NTV, NBS, UBC, Bukedde, STAR TV, and Bunyoro TV. Within the NRM, Eng. Asiimwe is a deeply trusted and active figure. He serves as the NRM Chairman for Hoima City and was the NRM Parliamentary Flag Bearer for Hoima East City Division from 2022 to 2026. Since 2016, he has also chaired the Society of Mining Engineers Uganda. Known for his unwavering dedication to the NRM cause, Eng.
