Kioga North Constituency NRM Joint Campaign Heats Up as Odongo Ekuu and Okodo Take the Lead; Incumbent Faces Uphill Battle

Agikdak Sub-County – The race for the Kioga North Constituency parliamentary seat under the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket is intensifying, with contenders Isaac Odongo Ekuu and Peter Okodo gaining momentum as incumbent MP Hon. James Olobo Dubai fights to retain his position.

Odongo Ekuu Promises Inclusive Leadership, Poverty Eradication

Speaking during his second campaign rally in Agikdak Sub-County, Isaac Odongo Ekuu pledged inclusive leadership and vowed to lead the fight against poverty if elected.

“I will ensure that every voice in Kioga North is heard. My leadership will be transparent, accountable, and focused on uplifting our people,”Ekuu declared.

He urged residents to embrace government poverty alleviation programs, promising to lobby for more development projects to boost livelihoods. His message resonated with voters, especially farmers and traders, who expressed optimism about his plans.

Okodo Vows Better Roads, Education, and Effective Representation
Meanwhile, Peter Okodo, another strong contender, has centered his campaign on road improvements, better education, and effective representation in Parliament.

“Our roads are in poor condition, our schools need more support, and our people deserve a leader who will fight for their needs in Parliament,” Okodo said during a recent rally.

He also promised to champion poverty eradication programs, positioning himself as a leader who will bring tangible change to the constituency.

Incumbent Olobo Defends His Record, Warns Against “Opportunists”
Facing stiff competition, Hon. James Olobo Dubai reminded voters of his proven track record, citing completed and ongoing development projects in the constituency.

“My work speaks for itself. I have delivered roads, schools, and health centers, and I plan to do even more in the next term,”Olobo stated.

However, he cautioned voters against being “blindfolded by opportunists”, urging them to scrutinize his opponents’ promises.

With the NRM joint campaigns gaining momentum, the contest is shaping up to be a three-horse race. While Odongo Okuu and Okodo rally support with fresh promises, Olobo is banking on his experience and past achievements.

As the campaigns intensify, voters in Kioga North are weighing their options carefully, with poverty alleviation, infrastructure, and effective representation emerging as key deciding factors.

The NRM primaries will determine who carries the party flag, but one thing is clear: Kioga North is in for a competitive and high-stakes race.
