Why Obongi District Residents Want RDC Hashaka to Stay

Obongi DIstrict, Uganda – During the Independence Day celebrations for Obongi District, held at Liwa North Village, Liwa Parish in Gimara Sub-county, the residents led by the area LC1 Chairperson of Liwa North Village, Mr. Lomo Majid Musa thanked the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Obongi, Mr. Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, for his commendable work in the district, including fighting corruption and linking the people of Obongi to the NRM government.

The LC1 Chairperson appealed to His Excellency the President to retain RDC Hashaka in Obongi so that he can continue his anti-corruption efforts and maintain order in the district.

The celebrations were attended by district political leaders, opinion leaders, stakeholders, and technical staff, led by the District Chairperson of Obongi, Hon. Abibu Buga Kemis Awadi, the area MP Hon. Dr. Bhoka George Didi, Woman MP of Obongi Hon. Zumura Maneno, CAO Otim Benson Humphrey, and ARDC Umuhoza Habiba Furaha.

The LC1 Chairperson praised RDC Hashaka for his dedication to fighting corruption and for tirelessly monitoring government projects across all corners of Obongi. His remarks drew loud applause and ululations from the residents and leaders present, showing strong support for Mr. Hashaka’s continued service in the district.

Speaking as the Chief Guest at the event, RDC Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka described President Museveni as “a great man who has developed Uganda and promoted peace in the region.”

Hashaka advised the people of Obongi and Ugandans at large to overwhelmingly vote for the President of the Republic of Uganda, Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, whom he described as the only serious, experienced, and capable candidate for the presidency.

Area MP Hon. Dr. Bhoka George Didi and Woman MP Hon. Zumura Maneno, both NRM flag bearers, pledged to continue working with the government to implement the NRM manifesto.

Several residents of Obongi District also expressed their gratitude to President Museveni for deploying Mr. Hashaka as RDC of Obongi and called on him to retain him in the district so that he may continue his efforts to fight corruption and ensure proper governance.
