Senate Committee Investigates Deaths of Church Followers in Shakahola Forest

Pastor Ezekiel Odero of The New Life Prayer Centre and Pius Muiru appeared before the Senate Ad Hoc Committee. The committee is investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of followers of the controversial Good News International Church preacher, Paul Mackenzie. Mackenzie is currently in police custody, and the incidents occurred in Shakahola forest, Kilifi County.

This marks the final public hearing by the committee, which is scheduled to release its investigation report by next Thursday.




Accompanied by their legal representatives, including Danstan Omari, Cliff Ombeta, Samson Nyaberi, and Shadrack Wambui, Odero and Muiru addressed the committee’s questions.
