KAMPALA, Uganda — Several Members of Parliament are reportedly expected to appear before the Criminal Investigations Directorate headquarters in Kibuli on Monday, 18th May, at 9:00 a.m. to record statements in connection with alleged multi-billion-shilling business interests, according to reports circulating on Sunday.
The information, which remains unverified by authorities, claims that the legislators are being scrutinized over allegations linked to wealth and business dealings reportedly associated with the former Speaker of Parliament, Anita Annet Among.
Authorities have not officially confirmed the nature of the allegations or whether formal investigations have been opened.
The MPs reportedly mentioned in the developing matter include Solomon Silwanyi, Dicksons Kateshumbwa, Kawalya Abubaker, Mathias Mpuuga, Cissy Namujju, and Asuman Basalirwa.
Six MPs have reportedly been summoned to CID Kibuli on Monday over alleged links to multi-billion businesses said to belong to @AnitahAmong.
