A joint security team comprising the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) and the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has reportedly raided and sealed off the residence of former Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among.
According to security sources, the operation took place at her Nakasero residence in Kampala, where an ongoing search was underway as part of investigations into alleged illicit enrichment and money laundering.
The joint team, supported by the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs and other security agencies, is said to be pursuing inquiries linked to corruption-related allegations involving the former parliamentary speaker.
Details surrounding the scope of the investigation remain limited, and authorities have not yet issued an official public statement on the findings of the operation.
