Ugandan musician King Saha has spoken out about his absence from Alex Muhangi’s Comedy Store 10th Anniversary concert, which was held at Lugogo Cricket Oval, making remarks about his ability to attract large crowds.
The singer suggested that he did not need to attend the event to prove his popularity, claiming that he has the ability to independently attract huge numbers of fans whenever he organises a show.
“I can solely fill that venue twice a year. In fact, I can call my fans just for a meet and greet and police will have to fight the traffic,” King Saha said.
His remarks have attracted attention because Lugogo Cricket Oval is one of the major venues used for large entertainment events in Uganda. Filling the venue is often viewed as a major achievement for local performers.

King Saha’s comments also highlight the confidence he has in his fan base and his ability to mobilise supporters for live performances.
The singer has built a strong following in Uganda through his music, live performances and public appearances. His statement suggests that he believes he can draw a massive audience without depending on a joint entertainment event.
Alex Muhangi’s Comedy Store recently marked its 10th anniversary with a major celebration at Lugogo Cricket Oval, bringing together entertainers and other performers to celebrate a decade of comedy and entertainment.
